P-R-A-I-S-E

“Your commitment is perfect. We’ve never had a Musical Director as committed as you are.”

The production assistant for Cabaret shared this with me today during a break. It was nice. Honestly, I’m not suprised this is not the norm. From next week I’ll be attending seven and a half hours of cast rehearsal per week, and this is on top of work at home and band rehearsals. It’s a lot of work, and I’m really kicking my ‘time management’ skills into gear to keep me afloat with the rest of my uni work.

Thankfully this is all good busy, but there comes a time when good busy turns bad, and I’m guessing it’ll be in two weeks time when I have my midsession exam for economics.

I don’t think anyone has ever given me such high praise for soing anything. I may just not be committed enough.

Perhaps actors are just particularly generous when you acknowledge them. ie. The Oscars.
