This is old content from my previous blog, EveryGoodBoyDeservesFruit.com. Check out the
new stuff too.
So I’m sitting two stories up in the university library, somewhat relieved that I wasn’t going out of my brain.
You see, the creative arts department in their eternal wisdom decided to change the time of the first monday morning class yesterday. This follows the entire change from saturday which moved all classes from afternoons to mornings (which of course destroyed my preferences for commerce). This eternal wisdom was once again called upon when they decided to leave it up to the students to notify each other and not leave a student email (which I *did* check this morning just in case). Somehow the message didn’t get around to me. Thankfully it’s only an hour away, so it’s not some long, difficult wait.
However, in the future at least I’ll be more prepared for these waits as I transferred the money across for my new M3 which I will (fingers crossed) receive this week.
Yesterday I ventured up to Sydney with Greg for the Parramatta Collectables Fair, which pretty much surpassed all expectations of freakdom. We witnessed a man in full Star Trek uniform, much like one of my life-heros, Barbara Adams. We also saw a woman who had a paper mache growth erupting from her shoulder that I think was supposed to be a dragon of some variety. My personal favourite was a guy who pottered up to a stall and asked the man, “Have you got any ‘Sound of Music’ daybills?” to which the stall owner replied, “No, you’ve bought them all already.” Just fantastic. Except he smelt. Not so fantastic.
We moved on and seemingly entered every used book store on King Street in Newtown, except Pulp Books. It was closed by the time we were strolling past it.
I won’t bother passing you on to Greg’s Blog, because although he said he would post about our adventure, he said he wouldn’t write about how I was the one who made all the good finds (the Joan Crawford book, the Sextette and La Cage posters, the Trekkies 2 DVD – all of which he somehow ended up with).
Only 30 minutes left until class. I wonder if there is enough on the internet to keep me busy for 30 minutes.
Well, at least I got to hear some good techie type news today. I personally think that right now, technology can go take a flying leap sideways somewhere.
Read my blog to find out whay.
